When our baby girl arrived a bit earlier than expected, weighing just 2.7kg, I knew I’d want to keep her as close as possible. After doing some research my fiancé found the VIXSA Bamboo Wrap Carrier. It was a little pricer than others we were looking at but we read the reviews and ordered one. It’s quickly become one of my favourite baby items, especially for those moments when she won’t settle and my arms are tired (most of the time) or when we’re out on walks together.

We started using the wrap pretty much as soon as we got our baby home. Being born prematurely, she’s always wanted to feel snug and secure, and the wrap was perfect for that. • Take your time practicing. Don’t worry if it feels awkward at first! After a couple of tries, you’ll get the hang of it.

• Dress lightly. If you’re in a warmer climate, breathable clothes will help keep you and baby cool. When I'm out I wear a singlet or t-shirt, but around the house I strip down to soft bra to get some more skin to skin time in with my baby.
